    • Verified complaint and found CEL to be illuminated. Scanned ECU and found code P0101 – Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor/circuit (bank 1) fault – stored after being tripped 14 times. Referred to Nissan's technical service bulletin classification no. EC12-012k & reference no. NTB12-051k. ECU must be programmed to adjust MAF sensor within parameters. Considering age and wear of vehicle, MAF sensor may also be compromised. Recommend changing MAF sensor as precautionary repair/ preventative maintenance. If CEL returns after replacement, then ECU programming will be required.
    • Replaced mass air flow sensor and programmed the vehicle to update the ECU per Nissan service bulletin. Cleared the codes and tested good.

    • Found codes in system P0011, P0524, P0021 all of these codes directed to look at valve timing. Found at idle system is off target. Reason for this is oil gallery gasket has failed and is very common on the 3.7L engines. Recommend timing chain kit, water pump, and upgraded oil gallery gasket.
